Ride With GPS Integration

posted Jul 28, 2014, 10:27 PM by Scott K

Hey guys,

I updated the route maps pages. Many of the routes now have a link to their respective Ride With GPS page. From this page you can see the elevation and grade of the route, print PDFs, and download map data for your GPS units. The TCX Course and GPX Track files are available directly to download from each page.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

New Message Board

posted Jun 21, 2013, 6:26 PM by Scott K   [ updated Jun 21, 2013, 6:48 PM ]

Hey guys,

Not sure how many Medical College students are checking the website. I'm hopeful that the club is still going! Anyway, thought I'd let everyone know that I've moved the forum into an invite only Google Groups message board. I hope this will be easier to manage and more helpful than the previous message board software I've used. The new message board can be accessed from the "Forum" link in the left-hand column and/or by going to its webpage here.

Enjoy the excellent cycling in Southeastern Wisconsin! Please use the forum to suggest group rides, organize meetings, and to recommend new routes. As always, please send us an email in the "Contact Us" link if there are any questions.

Thanks a lot and happy riding!

Kit Orders

posted Sep 3, 2010, 8:18 PM by Scott K

Hey guys,

Look here for updates on ordering the MCW Cycling Kit. See attachments for an idea of what the product looks like. Last time we ordered we did not have enough women ordering the shorts so, unfortunately, we were not able to get them made. Supposedly, an entirely new order/ design period may need to be paid for if we want to get women's shorts made this year. No problem with men's bib shorts or men's and women's jerseys.

Talk on proper bike fitting

posted Apr 18, 2010, 10:16 PM by Scott K

Sports Med Interest Group together with biking interest group is bringing in a cycling coach/Physical Therapist/racer to talk about proper bike fitting/positioning to prevent injury. He is giving away a free bike fitting ($400 value) which he will perform during the talk. SMIG asks that people who are interested RSVP (to gbusel@mcw.edu) and that automatically enters you to win the bike fitting (only caveat is that you have to bring your bike and be ok in front of the group) We will let whoever wins know about it ahead of time. The event will be in MCW, Kerrigan Auditorium Monday, May 3rd 5:30pm-7:30pm (with food most likely included) We are encouraging anybody who likes biking to come, not just MCW students or faculty so if you know someone you bike with feel free to let them know as well.

If you have any questions feel free to email me. Thanks for your time.
