Hey guys,
Look here for updates on ordering the MCW Cycling Kit. See attachments for an idea of what the product looks like. Last time we ordered we did not have enough women ordering the shorts so, unfortunately, we were not able to get them made. Supposedly, an entirely new order/ design period may need to be paid for if we want to get women's shorts made this year. No problem with men's bib shorts or men's and women's jerseys.

Come help teach kids the importance of wearing a bicycle helmet. You can help fit and distribute helmets, run a bike rodeo, or participate in a variety of other jobs at Winners Wear Helmets event run by the Children’s Health Education Center.
WINNERS WEAR HELMETS Thursday, May 20th AM or PM shifts depending on the volunteer position State Fair Park (off I-94 and 84th St), less than 10 minutes from MCW T-shirts and lunch included! Training will be provided for helmet fitters the day of the event.
Please respond to Cara by Wednesday, May 5th at czokoe@mcw.edu if you are interested in volunteering. See attached form and tell me which volunteer position you would prefer and which shift. Please include your address and phone number. I will send in your volunteer form, and you will then receive a confirmation of the role you have been assigned and the exact times from the director of Winners Wear Helmets. |

Sports Med Interest Group together with biking interest group is bringing in a cycling coach/Physical Therapist/racer to talk about proper bike fitting/positioning to prevent injury. He is giving away a free bike fitting ($400 value) which he will perform during the talk. SMIG asks that people who are interested RSVP (to gbusel@mcw.edu) and that automatically enters you to win the bike fitting (only caveat is that you have to bring your bike and be ok in front of the group) We will let whoever wins know about it ahead of time. The event will be in MCW, Kerrigan Auditorium Monday, May 3rd 5:30pm-7:30pm (with food most likely included) We are encouraging anybody who likes biking to come, not just MCW students or faculty so if you know someone you bike with feel free to let them know as well.
If you have any questions feel free to email me. Thanks for your time. |
